ნინო გედევანიშვილი
Tbilisi-based art critic, curator and lecturer , Dr. Nino Gedevanishvili is Professor of Art History at the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs and Head of Education Department at the Georgian National Museum National Gallery.
Gedevanishvili ensures that the functions and activities that form the public face of the Gallery reach and engage large, diverse audiences through meaningful exhibitions, outstanding learning experiences, and effective outreach programs. She oversees the planning and development of gallery educational programs. Dr. Gedevanishvili has been employed at the Georgian National Museum for 17 years, serving previously as head of Georgian National Gallery. Prior to GNM Dr. Gedevanishvili has been the vice-rector at Tbilisi State Academy of Art, She has also been the author and host for the educational TV programs “World of Art” and “ART Express.” Dr. Gedevanishvili has received numerous grants for her projects and has curated over 20 exhibitions, written an extensive number of articles on a wide range of contemporary and modern artists and art subjects, and conducted numerous lectures and workshops. She earned an MA in Art History from Tbilisi Academy of Arts, and received her PhD in Art History from Rustaveli Theatre and Film University, Tbilisi.
